The playset, the trampoline and everything else the lawn is holding

Weathered playsets, old trampolines and backyard debris hauled off the lawn by a crew that does all the lifting and sweeps up after.

What a backyard collects over the years

Backyards fill up slowly and then all at once. A wooden playset that outlasted the kids, its swing frame leaning a little more each spring. A trampoline with a torn mat. Broken lawn furniture, a stack of fence boards, bags that never made it to the curb. Each piece is easy to ignore until the lawn can't be mowed and the weeds have the run of the place.

JunkDoctors has hauled out a weathered wooden playset and swing frame, and an old trampoline, from North and Central New Jersey yards. Those two are the usual suspects, because they're too big to bag and too awkward to drag to the street alone. If your yard has a playset, a trampoline, or a pile of both, you're describing a normal day for the crew.

How the crew clears a yard

Send a few photos or a short video of the yard, or just list what's out there, and you'll get an estimate before anyone drives over. The final price is confirmed on site, once the crew has seen how the pieces come apart and how far they have to carry them. Same-day or next-day visits are often available, seven days a week.

The crew does the lifting, the breaking down, the loading and the sweep-up, and they're in-house JunkDoctors employees, not subcontractors. Their 25 cubic yard trucks are bigger than the typical junk truck, so a swing set and a trampoline can ride out together instead of in two separate trips. Nobody needs a dumpster in the driveway first.

Daniela Persaud of Clifton, NJ described the visit this way: "The process was as easy as 1, 2, 3. The team came in, discussed what needed to be hauled away, and got to work right away. They were professional, efficient, and cleared the backyard fast." You don't need to carry a single board to the curb beforehand.

Pricing a yard by the truckload

Yard jobs are priced by how much of the 25 cubic yard truck they fill: 1/16 load is $350, 1/8 is $485, 1/4 is $685, 1/2 is $985, 3/4 is $1,685, and a full truck is $1,985. One or two items on their own are a single item pickup, $185 to $250. Heavy, oversized or hard-to-reach pieces can raise that, so show them in your photos.

Labor, loading, hauling, disposal fees and sweep-up are all in the number, and there's no hourly rate. The crew can't take wet paint, chemicals, fuel, gasoline, propane tanks, pesticides, asbestos, medical waste or unknown liquids, so garden sprays and a grill's propane tank stay with you. Donating and recycling happen whenever possible. What's left is open lawn, with a bare patch where the playset stood.
