Garage volume rate

From stacked to the ceiling to bare concrete

Garages emptied back to bare concrete, shelving and all. Their published example took one hour, and the price follows how much of the truck the load fills.

The garage that stopped fitting a car

A Morristown garage in our job photos was stacked to the ceiling with boxes and bins. It is the classic New Jersey garage: built for a car, then slowly given over to everything the house had no room for. The car has been in the driveway for years, and the shelves now hold more than anyone remembers putting there.

The real problem is that garage clutter mixes everything together. Cardboard, broken lawn furniture, a dead mower, a half-used can of something that should never go in the trash, and a few things truly worth keeping all sit in one pile. Sorting it yourself means a lot of trips, a lot of dust and a lot of Saturdays.

How the crew empties a garage

Send a photo from the door and another from the back wall, or an item list, and you get an estimate. The crew confirms the final price on site, then handles the lifting, loading and hauling. Because the 25 cubic yard trucks are bigger than those many competitors send, a loaded garage takes fewer trips than you might expect.

Shelving units come off the walls if you want them gone, workbenches are broken down and carried out, and old tools and bikes are set aside for donation when they still work. Metal and electronics go to recycling where possible. You can be at work; you need not be present once access and scope are confirmed, which suits a garage with a keypad on the door.

Gabriel Fox of Mountainside summed up the cleanup this way: "Clear and competitive prices, great customer service, and they even cleaned up after themselves." Sweeping the concrete is part of every job, not an upgrade, and it matters in a garage where dust and cardboard scraps travel.

Garage pricing and the empty bay

Garages are priced by the share of the truck they fill: $350 for a 1/16 load, $485 for 1/8, $685 for 1/4, $985 for 1/2, $1,685 for 3/4 and $1,985 for a full truck. Labor, loading, hauling, disposal fees and sweep-up are included, with no hourly rate and no hidden fees. A lone workbench is a single-item pickup at $185 to $250, which can rise for pieces over about 150 lb.

Garages are also where the restricted items collect. Wet paint, chemicals, fuel, gasoline, propane tanks and pesticides cannot go on our trucks, and neither can asbestos, medical waste or unknown liquids. Pull those cans and tanks aside before the crew arrives and the rest of the job moves faster.

Their published example is a garage cleanout finished in 1 hour, which shows what a well-staffed crew and a big truck can do; yours may take more or less depending on what is inside. The result is bare concrete, an open floor and room to park the car again or finally build the workshop you have been picturing.
