The pile that grows a little each month
Household junk is rarely one dramatic thing. It is the dresser that no longer fits the new bedroom, a few boxes by the back door, the kids' outgrown gear, a broken chair and the lamp that has been waiting to be fixed since spring. Each piece is small. Together they take over a corner of the house and then a whole room.
In a Hasbrouck Heights garage from our job photos, that overflow had filled the space with bags, boxes and furniture until the car had no place to go. Most homes get there slowly. The usual reason it stays so long is not laziness but logistics: a pickup truck, a dump run and a free Saturday rarely line up.
How a one-visit pickup works
Tell us what is in the pile by sending photos, a short video or an item list. We estimate from that, and the final price is confirmed on site. The crew arrives, walks the rooms with you or with your instructions, and starts loading. If you are out, you do not have to be present once access and scope are confirmed.
Our in-house New Jersey crew does the lifting, loading and hauling, with no subcontractors, and loads everything onto a 25 cubic yard truck that can take a whole household's overflow in a single stop. Anything usable is donated, and recyclable material goes to recycling. When the truck is loaded, the crew sweeps the area before it leaves.
Daniela Persaud of Clifton put it simply: "The process was as easy as 1, 2, 3." The team came in, talked through what needed to be hauled away, and got to work right away. That short conversation at the door, followed by an efficient load-out, is the process we aim to repeat for every household we visit.
Prices, exclusions and the cleared room
One or two items cost $185 to $250 as a single-item pickup, and heavy pieces over about 150 lb, oversized items or hard access can raise that. A fuller load is priced by volume: $350 for a 1/16 load, $485 for 1/8, $685 for 1/4, $985 for 1/2, $1,685 for 3/4 and $1,985 for a full truck, all with labor, disposal fees and sweep-up included.
There is no hourly rate and no hidden fees. We cannot take wet paint, chemicals, fuel, gasoline, propane tanks, pesticides, asbestos, medical waste or unknown liquids, so please keep those out of the pile. Nobody needs to rent a dumpster, and nobody has to carry a box to the curb.
The room you get back is the real result: open floor space, a closet door that finally closes and a corner with nothing stacked in it, all swept before the crew drives away. Same-day and next-day slots are often available, seven days a week, across towns from Clifton and Hackensack to Montclair and Summit.
